Our Little Story
Authentic Italian cuisine is what patrons will discover at Piccolo Fazools Bistro. As customers enter the restaurant, they immediately notice a warm welcoming atmosphere, Italian spices and aromas, and tall tin ceilings that emanate european nostalgic charm. Linda Tata may have opened the Bistro in August of 2018, but the inspiration for Piccolo Fazools has been brewing since Linda was a girl.
While Linda has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, the inspiration for Piccolo Fazools stems from her family’s deep-rooted Italian heritage. Both of Linda’s parents were born in Naples, Italy. They eventually left the motherland and started a new life in Western New York. While Linda was born and raised in Gates, NY, she has always been surrounded by Italian tradition. Food and family have forever been a major part her life, and all of her favorite memories were made around the dinner table.
Since her childhood, Linda has been passionate about food and feeding people, so she started a restaurant that embodied her family’s recipes and values. She wanted customers to experience the dishes passed down from her great grandmother, grandmother, mother, and now to her. Linda brings her mother's traditional Italian dishes to the table, and our chefs puts their professional spin on them. The menu contains family staples such as mom’s red sauce, and classic house favorites like the family lasagna recipe, but customers can also order local favorites like our famous Chicken French.
Overall, Piccolo Fazools menu selection can be described as original, locally and freshly sourced, rustic, and hauntingly reminiscent of your Nonna’s Sunday dinners.
Linda wants all of her customers to feel at home and to be full of delicious food, just like they’re sitting around her childhood family dinner table. After all, hunger is the best sauce! (after an Italian grandmother’s red sauce of course).
